Summary / Abstract (Note) | The work illustrates strategies for designing a nanoconjugate derived vector that can efficiently deliver antimicrobial moiety directly into bacterial cells. Apart from the synthesis and antimicrobial studies of amino acid, sodium acetate, sodium benzoate, and glycolic acid functionalized silver nanoparticles; cell penetrating peptides (CPP), gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and quantum dots (QD) were synthesized to form the AuNPs/QD-CPP conjugates for internalization into bacterial strains. Further, to check the applicability of AuNPs/QD-CPP conjugates as delivery vectors for generating an effective therapeutics, anti-bacterial drug molecules were successfully conjugated on QD-CPP surface to generate QD-CPP-Drug conjugate. newline |
